About
I am currently teaching high school robotics, engineering, and drafting at Seaquam Secondary. My curriculum focuses on establishing a strong understanding of the engineering design process while also taking into consideration human-centered and ethical design. Through projects and design challenges my students develop a strong technological literacy that empowers them to share ideas in new ways, solve problems, and innovate.
My Teaching Experience
I taught Computer Science and Web Design in Malaysia and Computer Animation and Media Arts in China before coming back to Canada to teach Robotics at Seaquam. Since 2011 I have developed curriculum and taught courses in graphic design, computer animation, engineering, robotics, drafting, computer science, and mathematics at the high school level and science core at the middle-school level as well as teaching computer animation (TA) at the university level.
My Design Experience
I have created animated short films, games, and Interactive VR experiences. Leveraging that background knowledge I have hosted many game design and computer animation clubs where I provide a safe community for students to explore and create.
At the various schools I've worked at I have also employed my knowledge of graphic design to help improve team and school logos and create promotional material.
I hope you enjoy looking at my work, past and present!
