3D Animation and Advanced 3D Animation TA

For 3 semesters I acted as a TA for 3D courses at SFU. In this role I was in charge of developing hands-on activities and teaching in the animation labs, marking assignments, and providing individual support to students. I taught introductory level and advanced courses.
In the introductory course students were introduced to 3d modeling and animation using Autodesk Maya for the first time. I taught the basics of navigating the interface, modeling simple objects, texturing, and animating.
In the advanced course students had an opportunity to dive deeper into Maya with facial rigging and character animation. They also learned how to start integrating it into a pipeline for film and games. I taught students digital compositing techniques, and introduced them to the Unity game engine.
